A few tips from the General Secretary of the Finnish Aeronautical Association -
...You'll not see any other tourists for days, and certainly no big groups from Japan. The 5-star hotels sell beer, but otherwise its difficult to find, ask the rickshaw wallahs.
...The Pink Palace (Ahsan Manzil) in Dhaka is small, but one of the best and most beautiful museums I've ever visited.
...Visit the countryside and avoid the traffic and bad air in the big cities of Dhaka and Chittagong and you'll enjoy your stay a lot. The southeastern hill tribe area is an absolute must, you'll meet great people there.

...You may think Bangladesh must be similar to India or Myanmar (Burma), but its not... visit and see. Prearrange as much as possible, local help is very important to get things to go just like you wish. We did it with Didar, Rengyu and Co. of Bangladesh Ecotours, you can too. Go now, before the tourists!
